Delicious airfried carrots flavoured with maple syrup and thyme made in the Tefal ActiFry. The ultimate healthy but hearty winter side dish.
I’m back today sharing another recipe using my Tefal ActiFry Genius XL. I’ve been using this machine for about 18 months now and still absolutely love it. I’ve made everything from roast potatoes to stir fries and desserts in it. You can see all my ActiFry Recipes here. The ActiFry has smart automatic cooking settings, it’s big enough to feed the entire family and of course makes incredible tasting dishes with a fraction of the fat.
Earlier I spun the Gear of Goodness which landed on Number 1, meaning the recipe I’m making today is healthy but hearty and easy to make. It’s Carrot Chips with Maple & Thyme.
This recipe can be found in the ActiFry App. This app is completely free, contains hundreds of recipes with step by step instructions and photos too. It also has ActiProgrammes to help you live a healthier and more active lifestyle.
So on with the recipe and the first step is to peel some carrots.
Cut them lengthways into roughly 5cm batons.
Place the carrots in the ActiFry, coat in the oil and season with a little salt and pepper. Cook the carrots on Mode 1 for 29 minutes.
Open the machine and add the maple syrup and thyme. Mix well and then cook on Manual Mode for a further 5 minutes.
And that’s it. Tasty carrot batons lightly sweetened with maple syrup and flavoured with fresh thyme. Absolutely delicious as a healthy heart side dish this winter, or even to serve up on Christmas Day.
Making these in the ActiFry would be a great way to free up some space on your hob or in your oven!
