A delicious and healthy lunch idea for kids. Wholemeal sandwiches filled with strawberries and cream cheese!

a strawberry and cream cheese sandwich on a plate cut in half and wrapped with a pink polka dot napkin and tied with twine

I absolutely love the taste of strawberries and cream cheese together but I have to admit I was a little unsure if this would work in a sandwich.

How wrong was I… it tastes incredible! The strawberries give a lovely sweetness to the sandwich without being overpowering and balances out really nicely with the slight sharpness of the cream cheese. So delicious!

The flavors really do work well together and it was so nice to put something a bit different in the kid’s lunch boxes!

Hi, I’m not sure where abouts in the world you are but here in the UK you can buy those mini pots of philidelphia cream cheese which would solve that problem!
