This Watermelon Lemonade makes a really refreshing and healthy drink for kids this summer. Easy to make with just a few natural ingredients!
When I made and photographed this recipe a couple of weeks ago the weather was absolutely glorious. But today, when I’m finally getting round to posting the recipe, there is torrential rain outside!
That’s a typical British summer for you but hopefully the sun will be back shortly so I can enjoy this delicious Watermelon Lemonade again!
Made with just a few simple and natural ingredients, this refreshing drink can be whipped up in just a couple of minutes.
It contains just a small amount of honey and so makes the perfect alternative to sugary fizzy drinks for kids this summer.
Watermelon is a fantastic fruit to serve to kids during warm weather. It contains over 90% water, making it really hydrating as well as being a great source of Vitamins A and C and many nutrients and antioxidants.
I used the juice of two lemons in my recipe but if you think that this might be too tart for your kids start with just one lemon and you can always add more.
I used fresh watermelon when making this lemonade but you can also use frozen watermelon along with a handful of ice which will make a more slushy-like drink instead!
I’ve been getting so many messages and tags on Instagram from you guys making my recipes. Please keep sending me the pictures. It’s always the highlight of my day to see them!
