Apple & Berry Crumble recipe

Has anyone else noticed a change in the weather in the past week or so? The evenings are drawing in and there’s a definite chill in the air now. And although I’m a little sad to say goodbye to the summer I’m also looking forward to all the delicious comfort food that comes with Autumn and Winter!

Throughout September I’ve been working with Zanussi sharing some recipes to make this back-to-school month a little easier for families. So far I’ve shared:

  • Fruity Breakfast Muffins – perfect to make ahead for a grab-and-go breakfast on busy mornings;
  • Feta & Spinach Lunchbox Muffins – a tasty alternative to sandwiches for lunch time;
  • Quick Coconut Chicken Curry – a delicious chicken curry perfect that’s easy to whip up mid-week; and
  • Peanut Butter Flapjacks – a tasty and healthy after-school snack for kids.

Today the last recipe in this series is a delicious Apple & Berry Crumble, perfect for serving up on a Sunday evening!

Apple & Frozen Berry Crumble

Cold winter weekends are made for cosy and warming desserts, and this Apple & Berry Crumble is perfect to make on a Sunday afternoon when you have a bit more time to spend in the kitchen. It’s also great to get the kids involved in helping with too. They’ll love mixing together the topping and crumbling it over the fruit!

Shop-bought crumble often has a lot of added sugar but I’ve kept it to a minimum in this recipe, making all that delicious fruit the star instead.

Also don’t forget to head over and watch my Facebook Live on the Zanussi Facebook Page . There’s still time to enter the competition to win one of two Zanussi Electric Ovens. The competition is open until 23:59 on 3rd October 2018 and the terms and conditions are here!

Disclosure: I have been compensated for my time spent working on this campaign with Zanussi but as always all thoughts and opinions are honest and are my own.

    So helpful that you can use frozen berries in this recipe. Really comforting dessert that’s easy to make too.
