No Bake Cornflake Bars

Made with just a few simple ingredients these No Bake Cornflake Bars are the perfect afternoon snack for kids.

No bake cornflake cakes,cut up into square shaped pieces and arranged on a white dinner plate, and drizzled in milk chocolate.

If the constant post-school snack demands are getting you down then this recipe is for you!

A simple no bake Cornflake Bar packed with ingredients that will actually fill kids up and hopefully keep the food demands on hold until dinnertime.

No bake cornflake bar slab laying on a piece of grease proof paper and divided into bite size pieces.

You just need five ingredients to make these bars:

  • Oats
  • Cornflakes
  • Peanut Butter
  • Butter
  • Honey

Plus some chocolate if you want to drizzle on top but it's not essential.

The five ingredients used to make this recipe, dived up into separate small bowls.

Add the peanut butter, butter and oil to a jug or bowl and melt in the microwave.

You can also melt it in a saucepan on the hob too.

Add this mixture to a bowl with the oats and cornflakes and mix well.

Pack into a lined dish. Press down well with the back of the spoon so that the mixture compacts together.

Pop into the freezer for 45 minutes to firm up.

Drizzle on some melted chocolate and then cut into 12 slices.

Storing & Freezing

These Cornflake Bars need to be stored in the fridge as they are quite soft. They will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

They also freeze really well. Store in a freezer bag or container for up to 2 months. They will defrost at room temperature in about an hour.

Nut Free Cornflake Bars

To make these bars nut you can use something like Wow Butter.

It's completely nut free but tastes very like peanut butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 120g peanut butter
  • 100g honey
  • 50g butter
  • 100g oats
  • 60g cornflakes
  • 25g chocolate


Instructions

  1. Add the peanut butter, honey and butter to a bowl of jug and melt in the microwave.
  2. Pour this into a large bowl with the oats and cornflakes and mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a lined square dish and press down well with the back of a spoon to make the mixture as compact as possible.
  4. Freeze for 45 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate and drizzle it on top.
  6. Cut into 12 slices.

Notes

These Cornflake Bars will keep in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

They can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Defrost at room temperature for an hour.
