Waffle French Toast

Description

French Toast made in a waffle iron and stuffed with jam. A really fun breakfast recipe for kids!


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 tbsp jam
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • spray oil

Instructions

  1. Spread the jam on both slices of bread and put together as if you are making a sandwich.
  2. Add the egg and milk to a bowl and whisk with a fork.
  3. Dip the jam sandwich into the egg mixture, on both sides, until the mixture is completely soaked in.
  4. Spray some spray oil onto the waffle iron on the top and bottom.
  5. Add the sandwich to the waffle iron and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Cut into 4 pieces.
  7. Allow the french toast to cool for a few minutes before serving to kids as the jam inside will be hot.
  8. Serve with some greek yogurt and fresh fruit.

Notes

This Waffle French Toast is best eaten immediately after cooking.
