Description
A simple but delicious Pasta Bolognese recipe, all cooked together in one pot. Super easy and minimal washing up too!
Ingredients
- 1/2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 carrots
- 1 celery stick
- 500g beef mince
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 litre beef stock
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 300g dried penne
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large casserole dish on the hob.
- Add the onion, garlic, carrots and celery and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the beef mince and fry until browned.
- Add the tinned tomatoes, beef stock, ketchup and oregano and bring to the boil.
- Add the pasta, stir well and simmer for 20 minutes until the pasta is cooked.
- Stir every few minutes to ensure the pasta doesn’t stick together.
- Add the grated parmesan and mix well.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in the microwave or on the hob. This recipe can also be frozen. Defrost in the fridge overnight.
