Description
If your child won’t eat bread crusts then try this hack to turn those crusts into a fun snack instead!
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 tsp of jam
- 1 tsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180c fan.
- The crust has to be taken off the bread in one long strip. So rather than making a sandwich as usual and then cutting off the crusts, you need to remove the crust first.
- Make a cut in one corner of the crust and then cut all along the inside of the crust to remove it from the bread.
- Spread the jam along the inside of the crust and then roll it up tightly until you have a pinwheel.
- Add a wooden skewer to the bottom and push up so that the pinwheels holds together.
- Spread some butter on the top of the pinwheel.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Once baked, allow to cool for a few minutes as the jam will be very hot.
- Remove the wooden skewers for younger children.
