Description

If your child won’t eat bread crusts then try this hack to turn those crusts into a fun snack instead!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 tsp of jam
  • 1 tsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c fan.
  2. The crust has to be taken off the bread in one long strip. So rather than making a sandwich as usual and then cutting off the crusts, you need to remove the crust first.
  3. Make a cut in one corner of the crust and then cut all along the inside of the crust to remove it from the bread.
  4. Spread the jam along the inside of the crust and then roll it up tightly until you have a pinwheel.
  5. Add a wooden skewer to the bottom and push up so that the pinwheels holds together.
  6. Spread some butter on the top of the pinwheel.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Once baked, allow to cool for a few minutes as the jam will be very hot.
  9. Remove the wooden skewers for younger children.
