I know there are a million and one recipes for roast potatoes out there, but why not add one more! Recently I’ve started to cook my roast potatoes in my airfryer and I have to say it’s been life changing.

The potatoes get wonderfully crispy on the outside but still stay soft and fluffy on the inside, absolutely perfection! And not only do they taste better, but they’re easier to cook too. No potatoes sticking to the pan in the oven! So here’s how it’s done.

How To Make Roast Potatoes in the Actifry Airfryer:

1. Peel the potatoes and chop into halves or thirds so that they are evenly sized.

2. Add the peeled and chopped potatoes into a saucepan, cover with boiling water and simmer for 7 minutes.

3. Drain the potatoes really well and then shake the colander for about a minute, bashing up the sides of the potatoes. This will help to make them super crispy on the outside.

4. Add the potatoes back into the saucepan and then add some oil, coating well on all sides of the potatoes. Then add them to the airfryer.

5. Cook for 30 minutes (I used Mode 1 on my ActiFry) with the paddle in. If you want them even crispier then simply pop them back on for another few minutes.

Tips To Make Roast Potatoes in the Actifry Airfryer:

1. I always use Maris Piper potatoes for roasties, they’re the best by far.

2. I use sunflower oil as I think it tastes the best but you could use olive oil too, or even something like duck fat for a special occasion.

3. The bashing part is super important so don’t be tempted to skip it. It’s the key to a crispy outside.

4. I also recommend coating the potatoes in the oil before adding them to the airfryer as this ensures they all get evenly coated.
