An easy and fun way to make sausage rolls with kids with just four simple ingredients.
Do you love sausage rolls but hate the faff of making them yourself at home? Don’t worry I’ve got a really easy cheat’s recipe that you’re going to love!
Instead of using pastry I use small or mini tortilla wraps to make these delicious sausage rolls that are absolutely perfect for a family lunch at home.
It’s also a brilliant recipe to make with the kids. It’s simple and uses just a few ingredients.
Ingredient Substitutions:
Sausages – I used pork sausages but feel free to use chicken, turkey or even vegetarian sausages. Just make sure they are the thick variety rather than chipolatas.
Egg – If you don’t have egg a little milk will work fine instead.
Sesame Seeds – These add a tasty crunch to the outside of the sausage rolls but it’s totally fine to leave them out altogether.
If you try my recipe please come back and let me know what you think in the comments. I’ve also been getting so many messages and tags on Instagram from you guys making my recipes so keep sending them in!

Description
An easy and fun way to make sausage rolls with kids with just four simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 6 thick sausages
- 6 small tortilla wraps
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180c.
- Add the sausages to an oven dish and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place in a bowl or on a plate lined with kitchen paper. This will allow them to cool down and also allow any fat to drain away.
- Once they’re cool enough to handle it’s time to make the sausage rolls.
- Brush the tortilla wrap with a little of the beaten egg, take one sausage and roll it up tightly.
- You can either tuck in the ends of wrap or cut them off.
- Repeat with the remaining sausages and place them baking into the baking dish.
- Brush the top with more egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in the oven for a further 10 minutes then serve immediately.
Notes
These Sausage Rolls are best eaten straight away although they can be cooled and stored in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
