Top tips for fussy eaters from children’s food expert Lucy Thomas and Organix and a recipe for a super speedy spinach pasta sauce
Last week my little man and I attended a really fun event with Organix as part of their #nojunkjourney. Children’s food expert Lucy Thomas was there giving her top tips on dealing with fussy eaters and she also showed us a really simple but super tasty recipe for a spinach pasta sauce that you can make in just 3 minutes!
Lucy showed us some really fun games that we can play with toddlers to take the emphasis away from actually eating fruit and veg and instead to encourage children to play with their food and explore the texture, smell and eventually taste.
We were always told as kids not to play with our food by Lucy’s method goes against this completely so take a look at the short video below for more information on her tips!
Lucy also showed us how to make a really quick and easy spinach pasta sauce. It can be cooked and prepared in just 3 minutes which is just incredible. It’s dairy, gluten and egg free and makes such a delicious and nutritious pasta sauce for weaning babies, toddlers and older kids too.
For more information about Lucy and her coaching and classes check out her website Mange Tout. And for lots more quick and easy recipes for your little ones don’t forget to visit the Organix Recipe site.
Also, I’d love to hear your tips for dealing with picky eating at home. Are you quite strict with your children when it comes to eating certain foods? Do you make them stay at the table until their plate is cleared? Or do you have a different approach to encouraging them to try new foods? I’d love to hear your opinions.

Thank you, Alida, you have made my day. You told me to make a desert which is very quick and I was able to make it in no time. My son has praised it a lot. He is fond of deserts, ice-creams and cookies especially but when he tasted it then his reaction was what this it is awesome.
