Delicious Strawberry Overnight Oats topped with a White Chocolate shell. A fun and easy breakfast that the whole family will love!

Stra

If you’re looking for something a bit different for breakfast, healthy but with a touch of indulgence, then you need to try my Strawberry Overnight Oats topped with a hard white chocolate shell.

They’re really easy to make and the kids will love the novelty factor too.

The first step is to add porridge oats, strawberry yogurt, milk and chopped fresh strawberries to a bowl and mix together.

Then divide this mixture between two small bowls or large ramekins.

Melt some white chocolate in a bowl in the microwave. Be careful not to burn it. I microwave it in 10-15 second bursts.

Then pour or drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top of the oats, spreading it out so that it covers the top completely.

Put the bowls into the fridge overnight or for at least 1 hour until the chocolate has hardened.

When ready to eat, add some extra strawberries to the top and dig in!

Crack the chocolate shell with a spoon and enjoy!

Ingredient Substitutions

Oats are naturally free of gluten but they’re often processed in factory with gluten products. If you need to ensure that they are completely free of gluten then buy the “certified gluten free” ones.

You can use dairy free yogurt, milk and chocolate in this recipe and it will work just fine.

If you prefer to use another fruit then raspberries will work really well too.

How long to you heat it in the microwave? Cold oats does not appeal to me.

We would generally say overnight oats can be warmed in the microwave, the only thing with this particular recipe would be the chocolate topping. If you do try these in the microwave please let us know how you get on.
