Description
The easiest homemade burger recipe, putting dinner on the table in less than 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 tbsp oil
- 4 slices of cheese
- 4 burger buns
- lettuce, tomato or any other burger toppings
Instructions
- Open the packet of mince and season the top with salt and pepper.
- Cut the mince into 4 equal sized pieces.
- Taking one of the pieces at a time, shape the mince into a round burger shape, moving the meat around so that the salt and pepper is equally distributed.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan on the hob and add the burgers. You may need to do these in two batches depending on the size of your frying pan.
- Use a spatula to push down on the burgers, flattening them as much as possible. I make mine approximately 1cm thick.
- Cook on a high heat for 4 minutes, then flip the burgers and add a slice of cheese on top.
- Cook for another 4 minutes.
- Serve the burgers in burger buns along with any toppings that you like.
Notes
These burgers are best eaten immediately after cooking.
