The easiest homemade burger recipe, putting dinner on the table in less than 15 minutes.
Burgers get a bad rap for being unhealthy, but you can make your own at home with minimal ingredients and in just few a minutes aswell.
All you need is some beef mince and salt and pepper.
Cut the mince directly in the packet into 4 equal sized pieces and then season the top.
Take one of the pieces at a time and shape it into a round burger shape.
Move the mince around so that it is equally seasoned throughout with the salt and pepper.
Heat some oil in a frying pan and add the burgers.
I cooked these in two batches but if you have a very large frying pan you can cook them in just one batch.
Use a spatula to press down on the burgers, flattening them as much as possible – hence the name smash burgers!
I aim to get them approximately 1cm thick.
Cook on a high heat for 4 minutes then flip the burgers over and add a slice of cheese.
Cook for another 4 minutes.
Because the burgers are so thin they will cook in a short time.
And the cheese will melt beautifully on top!
Add the burgers to toasted burger buns with any other toppings that you like.
And they’re ready to serve. I serve them with some airfryer frozen chips. Absolutely delicious!
