Description
An easy recipe for homemade Quinoa Granola made with puffed quinoa, oats, nuts and seeds. Delicious for a really healthy breakfast for the whole family served with greek yogurt and fresh berries
Ingredients
- 200g oats
- 70g mixed nuts, finely chopped
- 70g mixed seeds
- 70g melted butter
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 50g puffed quinoa
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 160c and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
- Add the oats, chopped nuts and mixed seeds to a large bowl and mix.
- Mix the melted butter, honey and vanilla together in a small bowl or jug and pour this on top of the oat mixture, mixing until everything is well combined.
- Divide the mixture between the two lined trays and bake in the oven for 15 minutes, stirring at least once to ensure the edges don’t burn.
- Add the puffed quinoa to the trays, mixing well and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
- Once cooked, allow the granola to cool on the trays to crisp up before transferring to an airtight container.
Notes
This granola will keep in an airtight container for at least 2 weeks.
Oats and quinoa are naturally gluten free but may experience cross contamination when being packed. If you require gluten free versions then please look out for “certified gluten free” on the packet.
