Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 50g green pesto
- 50g red pesto
- 1 egg
- 20g grated parmesan
Instructions
- Unroll one sheet of puff pastry and cut it in half across the middle.
- Spread the green pesto on the top half and the red pesto on the bottom half.
- Unroll the second sheet of pastry and place it on top, pressing everything down together.
- Use a medium sized star cutter to cut out star shapes from the pastry.
- Take a piece of parchment paper and a large dinner plate.
- Draw around the edge of the plate so that you have a perfect circle marked out on the paper.
- Arrange the stars on the paper, following the circle shape round and overlapping the stars slightly.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl with a fork and brush onto the top of the pastry stars.
- Sprinkle the grated parmesan on top.
- Bake in the oven at 200c fan for 15 minutes.
- When cooked, remove from the oven. You can serve the pastry wreath on the paper you cooked it on or you can transfer it to a board or plate.
