Six easy no-cook ideas for your kid's lunchbox that aren't sandwiches

If you want to make something other than sandwiches for the kids' packed lunches then check out some of my ideas below.
They're all easy to make, no cooking involved. There's nothing wrong with a simple ham or cheese sandwich for lunch but equally I know it's nice for the kids to change it up sometimes so that their packed lunch doesn't get repetitive.

Tapas Box
A grazing box is always a great idea for kids. Lots of selection of different foods in small portions. Its a brilliant way to expand their diet and is also lots of fun.
Fill a lunchbox with salami, cheese, hummus, breadsticks, olives or any other veg that they like. I boil up a batch of eggs and keep them in the fridge for a few days. So handy to grab and go!

Sausage Skewers
Cocktail sausages are an easy no-cook lunch idea. Add them to our Pick Sticks with halved cherry tomatoes for a fun skewer lunch.
Serve them up with some chopped veggies, a portion of cheese and a small treat like a mini croissant.

Pasta Salad
Pasta salad is another easy win. Here's my trick to make it a speedy no-cook lunch.
Boil up extra pasta for dinner the night before and store in the fridge. The next day, run it under cold water. This helps to separate it if it has stuck together. Drain well then mix with a little olive oil, white wine vinegar and oregano for a simple dressing.
Then mix with any toppings you like such as cheese, pepperoni, cucumber and tomato.

Mexican Box
For something a little different for lunch try a Mexican themed lunch box.
Fill a lunchbox with tortilla chips, salsa, cubes of cheese and some chopped veggies. Really fun and so easy to put together.

Sandwich Skewers
Turn a simple ham and cheese sandwich into a fun sandwich skewer using our Pick Sticks.
Cut slices of bread, ham and cheese into small squares pieces and add to the sticks. Pack in chopped veggies, fruit and a cake bar for a fun lunch ready in just a few minutes.

DIY Lunchables
Make your own homemade lunchables with some mini crackers and cut-outs of ham and cheese. So much cheaper than buying those packets.
Pack them up with veggies, fruit, a small yogurt and some mini brownies.
