Turn meatballs into mini burgers. A really fun and easy lunch or dinner for kids!

mini burgers

Have you ever bought a packet of meatballs, made a few for the kids then wondered what to do with the leftovers?

If so then you need to try my Mini Burger hack! Simply squish the meatballs down to turn them into small burgers. The kids will love these!

flattening the meatballs down

Once you’ve flattened them down, add a little oil to a frying pan and fry them for 4-5 minutes on either side until browned and cooked through.

Whilst the mini burgers are cooking get everything else ready. I toasted some sliced bread and used an old spice jar to cut out circles. This made the perfect sized buns for the burgers.

preparing the other ingredients

Then all that’s left to do is to layer up the buns, the burger and any other toppings like lettuce, cheese, ketchup etc.

You can use a skewer to secure them but its not essential.
