Kids & Chicken Dinners
Winner winner chicken dinner… or is it?!
Chicken is one of those ingredients that my kids would rarely choose to eat themselves. Instead I have to come up with more and more ways of serving it to them in a recipe that’s tasty and a little bit fun too.
From nuggets to burgers, meatballs and curries, over the years I’ve built up a substantial back catalogue of chicken recipes that are kid-approved and perfect to serve up for family meals.
15 of my favourite Kid-Friendly Chicken Recipes!
Airfryer Chicken & Cheese Pinwheels
This is a really easy chicken recipe for kids. I’ve been making pinwheels for years, like these Ham & Cheese Pinwheels and these Pizza Pinwheels.
But I decided to switch it up by using chicken and cooking them in the airfryer instead.
They are great for lunch at home or can even be packed into a lunchbox for school lunch.
Mini Chicken Burgers
One of my favourite easy chicken recipe for kids are these Mini Chicken Burgers. The kids love these cute little burgers.
They are also really easy to make using some store bought chicken meatballs and add a little bit of fun to dinner time!
Popcorn Chicken
If your kids love the takeaway version of this by the same name, then try my healthier version at home!
Baked and not fried, keeps these chicken nuggets a bit healthier. And my secret ingredient helps keep these popcorn bites extra crispy. A really fun dinner idea for the kids.
Chicken Sausage Rolls
Sausage rolls always seem to be popular even with fussy eaters, so my Chicken Sausage Rolls are a good way to get kids eating chicken.

You could also make a big batch of the sauce for this in advance and store in the freezer. Then serve up with any chicken tenders or nuggets as and when you need it.
Chicken Lasagne
This Chicken Lasagne is a real comfort food recipe but switched up by using chicken mince instead of beef.
Using chicken mince instead of beef makes it a little healthier and is a great alternative to a traditional lasagne if you are trying to get your kids to eat more chicken.
Sweet Chilli Chicken Meatballs
Meatballs are always a hit with my kids so in an effort to get them to eat more chicken, I cam up with these Sweet Chilli Chicken Meatballs.
