A deliciously festive recipe for frozen hot chocolate flavoured with subtle gingerbread spices!

Frozen gingerbread hot chocolate in two small glass milk bottles, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings with a straw and a small gingerbread man in each.

At this time of year I always get obsessed with gingerbread flavoured everything; cookies, cakes, lattes… if it’s gingerbread I’ll have it please!

I’ve seen lots of gingerbread hot chocolate recipes around recently.

Toddlers and hot chocolate don’t mix very well in my experience so I decided instead to make my own frozen version which the whole family could enjoy.

The ingredients are pretty simple; just your normal hot chocolate or hot cocoa, some frozen yogurt or ice cream, vanilla extract and gingerbread spices.

I topped it off with some whipped cream and chocolate shavings (and a little gingerbread cookie too!) but it tastes just as delicious on its own.

This is the first time I’ve made a frozen hot chocolate and I have to say I was really impressed.

I thought I would miss the warming comfort of hot chocolate but this drink is so tasty and is actually quite refreshing!

I would have gingerbread flavour anything and anytime of day or night. The kids thought these were amazing and they look fab too!

I love this! I am all about the NYC Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate so this would make a fun Christmas-y twist 🙂
