Looking for Elf on the Shelf ideas? Try these super cute edible Elf Donuts!

Elf sitting up with a little tray of donuts, looking very pleased with himself.

It’s that time of the year again and the Elf is back! Coming up new ideas every year can be hard work so here’s one you can try; super cute Elf Donuts. And they’re actually edible too.

Close up of Elf donuts sitting on the Elfs lap.

For these Elf Donuts you will need:

  • Cheerios
  • Icing Sugar
  • Sprinkles

And also a small food skewer or cocktail stick and a box to put the donuts in.

Water icing mixed in a small glass bowl.

Firstly add the icing sugar to a bowl with a small splash of water and mix until all the lumps have disappeared.

You want to make the icing as thick as possible which will help the sprinkles to stick.

Icing being added to small, hooped cereal.

Use the food skewer to dip one side of the cheerio into the icing and then dip into the sprinkles.

Repeat with however many elf donuts you want to make.

Sprinkles being added.

Put the elf donuts aside to harden for 10 minutes.

Then add them to a small box or container and they’re ready to surprise the kids in the morning!
