A simple chocolate oat cookie with a marshmallow spun spider web topping. The perfect sweet treat for Halloween!

Chocolate Spider Web Cookies

If you are looking to get into the Halloween spirit with some spooky baking then I’ve got the perfect recipe that you can make at home with the kids.

To make these spooky Spider Web Cookies I made up a simple chocolate cookie recipe using a mixture of plain flour and porridge oats. This helps to make the cookies a little more filling, adding some fibre to them.

Next it’s time to make the spider web topping. To do this I melted some marshmallows in the microwave. It takes less than a minute, depending on the size of the marshmallows. I used giant marshmallows so they took closer to 60 seconds.

Using a spoon or your hands, drizzle the melted marshmallows over the cookies to create that spider web effect. Do this whilst the cookies are still on the lined tray as the marshmallows are extremely  sticky and the paper will protect the tray. No scrubbing required afterwards!

Your Chocolate Spider Web Cookies are now ready to serve straight away, perfect for a fun Halloween party or play date with the kids!
