This breakfast may look and taste indulgent, but it’s actually very healthy and perfect to warm you up on a cold winter’s morning
Breakfast is that one meal a day that often goes ignored for us as parents. Lately I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to actually make myself something delicious and filling, rather than just picking at the kids’ leftovers or even worse, skipping breakfast altogether.
I like porridge but it can get a little bland and boring if you eat it a few times a week, so I decided to flavour it up a little with chocolate and orange. It tastes so decadent, almost like a dessert but is still low in sugar.
This recipe is completely customisable. If you don’t like orange then feel free to leave it out. It would also be delicious with some fresh or frozen raspberries stirred in at the end of cooking. Yum!
