A delicious and healthy lunch time recipe; Chicken & Avocado Mayo Wrap. Perfect for kids and adults too!
Avocado are packed full of nutrients and make a great addition to your family’s diet.
People often think of avocados are being unhealthy because of the amount of fat that they contain but most of the fat in avocado is monounsaturated oleic acid, a “heart healthy” fat.
They are also high in fibre and contain more potassium than bananas!
All that said, I know that a lot of children are not massive fans of avocado, mine included!
So to encourage them to eat more avocados I made this wrap recipe. I mash it up with some mayonnaise, creating a lovely creamy mayo for the chicken but without any of the lumps that they hate! I call it “green mayonnaise” and they don’t seem to complain!

Ingredients
- 1 flour wrap
- 1 avocado
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 150g / ¾ cup chopped cooked chicken
- salt and pepper to taste
- handful of lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Mash the avocado (I find this easier to do on a chopping board. Mix in the mayonnaise and then add the chopped cooked chicken. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Cover the flour wrap with lettuce leaves and then spoon on the chicken and avocado mix.
